YOU BELONG HERE
Affirming pathways to friendship, belonging, romance, and relational confidence for neurodivergent people and their families.
PATHWAYS TO BELONGING
Every program is co-designed with neurodivergent voices at the center.
No pressure to perform neurotypicality — just real connection.
Day Ones Friendship is a small-group after-school program that teaches students in grades 6–12 practical relationship skills like active listening, conflict resolution, and setting boundaries. Each session combines direct instruction with hands-on practice so youth can learn how to build true, lasting friendships.
Making friends shouldn't be left to chance, especially for neurodivergent kids who often struggle with unstructured social environments. Our Speed Friending Events remove the anxiety by providing a structured, supportive space where connections can happen naturally.
Standing in Our Names is a nine-month transformational curriculum designed as a single, continuous journey of healing. It begins with three months of preparation, deepens during 14 days in West Africa, and concludes with six months of carrying that vital work back home into participants' lives and communities.
OUR FOUNDATION
Neurodivergent people lead, design, and shape every program and technology we build.
Everyone deserves friendship, love, and community — not as a reward for masking, but as a birthright.
We reject the pressure to perform neurotypicality. Your authentic self is who we celebrate.
Building the skills and spaces to form deep, meaningful connections — at your own pace, your own way.
OUR MISSION
The 1ness Project closes the love gap for neurodivergent people and their families by building affirming pathways to friendship, belonging, romance, self-acceptance, and relational confidence. We do this through community-based connection programs, co-designed technology, family and sibling support, and leadership experiences that help people stand fully in who they are without being pressured to perform neurotypicality.
